No. Echo Node is currently available for Android through Google Play.
Yes. Echo Node includes free recording, playback, organization, notes, search, on-device transcription, and optional Google Drive synchronization. The free version does not contain advertising.
Premium adds optional cloud-powered capabilities, including enhanced Gemini transcription, voice profiles, and AI summaries. Premium features and current allowances are explained on the Echo Node Free vs. Premium page.
Echo Node does not currently offer a Premium trial. This helps keep the Free and Premium experience straightforward while real-world usage and operating costs are evaluated.
Echo Node stores your recordings on your Android device. It does not require you to upload your recording library to a cloud-storage account.
Optional Google Drive synchronization is available if you want an additional copy in your own Google Drive.
Because your recordings are stored on your device, you should export, share, or synchronize important files before uninstalling Echo Node, clearing its app data, replacing your phone, or performing another action that could remove local data.
No, not by default. Recording and ordinary playback do not automatically upload your audio.
Echo Node offers optional Google Drive synchronization at no additional cost. From the Settings page, you can choose whether to synchronize supported Echo Node content manually or automatically with your personal Google Drive. The files use the storage available in your Google account.
A recording or transcript leaves your device only when you deliberately choose or enable a feature that requires it, such as Gemini transcription, an AI summary, sharing, exporting, or Google Drive synchronization.
If you enable automatic Google Drive synchronization, supported content will sync according to the settings you select.
You do not need an internet connection for basic recording and playback.
On-device features are designed to work without sending the recording to a cloud service. Features that use Gemini, Google Drive synchronization, Google Play billing, or other online services require an internet connection.
On-device transcription is processed locally on your Android device. It is available without sending the recording to Gemini, but accuracy can vary based on the device, recording quality, background noise, accents, overlapping speech, and other conditions.
Gemini transcription is an optional Premium feature. It uses cloud processing to produce a more capable, timed, speaker-separated transcript. Choosing it requires sending the selected audio for processing.

No automated transcription system is perfect.
Accuracy depends on audio quality, microphone placement, background noise, speech clarity, accents, specialized vocabulary, and whether people speak over one another.
Both on-device and Gemini transcripts can be edited by the user after they are generated.
Echo Node transcripts should be reviewed before they are relied upon for important medical, legal, financial, safety, or professional decisions.
Voice profiles are a Premium feature that help Echo Node associate recognized speech with the correct person. They are designed to improve speaker labeling when supported by the recording and transcription results.
Voice profiles assist identification, but they do not guarantee perfect speaker recognition.
AI summaries are optional Premium results created from a selected transcript. Depending on the conversation, a summary can organize the main ideas, important moments, decisions, questions, or useful next steps.
Echo Node does not summarize every recording automatically. The user chooses when to request an AI summary.
Not yet. Adding timestamped notes during an active recording is planned for a future update but is not currently available.
After a recording is complete, you can add timestamped notes while reviewing it. The timestamp helps you return to the relevant part of the recording later instead of replaying the entire file.
Echo Node can search across recording names, notes, and saved transcripts.
Search results help you locate the relevant recording and return to the information you were trying to find.
Echo Node supports several recording methods so you can begin from the place that is most convenient at the time. These include recording inside the app and using supported Android shortcuts such as Quick Settings and the Home screen.

Yes. After a recording begins, Echo Node can continue recording in the background while you use your phone, subject to Android permissions and system restrictions.
Android displays an ongoing notification while recording so you can see that the microphone is active and return to or stop the recording.
Yes. Echo Node provides user-controlled ways to copy, share, export, or synchronize supported recording content and results.
Export, share, or synchronize important recordings before uninstalling the app, clearing its data, or moving to another device.
No. Echo Node does not require a cloud-storage subscription to record, keep, or play your recordings.
If desired, you can manually or automatically synchronize your Echo Node recordings, transcripts, notes, and summaries with your personal Google Drive from the Settings page. Echo Node does not charge for Google Drive synchronization, although the files use the storage available in your Google account.
Your recordings remain on your device unless you deliberately share, export, synchronize, or submit selected content for a cloud-powered action.
Your existing recordings and previously saved results remain available. Features that require an active Premium subscription cannot be used for new Premium work until Premium is active again.
